「ここに海をつくる」予告編 "Painting Our Sea" Trailer

海を見たことがない小学1年生の由楽は、好きな黄色で海を描いた。まだ知らないことだらけの子供が生み出す創造性、知っていたことを忘れていく認知症を通して家族の愛を16mmフィルムで綴る。

In a small rural community, elementary school girl Yura, who has never seen the ocean, paints the ocean in yellow, her favorite colour. Over the course of her summer days, as she lives with her kind grandmother and her grandfather, who is showing signs of dementia, she copes with how her family changes through exploring the natural world through her artistry.

This 16mm film gracefully captures an innocent child’s incredible creativity and family love with the backdrop of the height of summer and a perfectly-poised cast of caring adults and wonderful children.
